How 2 Phone Calls Can Make Your Day

It’s a shame how tied up I’ve become lately growing the businesses – we’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t had the time to keep up with good friends. So it really made my day to be able to spend some time with a couple of my closest friends in the business, Vlad and Dave – all in the same day last Friday.

Vlad and I caught up with what each of us have been doing recently, business plans for the future, and exit strategy. It’s uncanny how much our businesses have in common, even though we’re operating business models that couldn’t be more different.

Dave called me to share a funny story…read about it here. Dave had his Sales Manager John on the phone with us and we all shared such a good laugh – I haven’t laughed that hard in a while.

Thanks, guys – for making my Friday.

The Invasion Has Begun – Dell is Boldly Marketing Technical Support Services to End Users

I see Dell is a firm believer in the "rolling stone gathers no moss" philosophy. I was thumbing through this month’s Smithsonian magazine (November 2007), and came across a full-page Dell advertisement in prime real estate – the page directly opposite the Smithsonian’s table of contents.

Of course I’ve seen plenty of Dell ads before (who hasn’t), they’re all kind of like noise anymore, but this one struck me differently. After reading, and re-reading it to make sure I wasn’t misinterpreting it, I’ve concluded that this is a salvo aimed directly at our clients to deliver the very remote technical support that our Managed Services philosophies are based on.

The Invasion Has Begun…
