MSPU Washington DC Managed Services Boot Camp Wrap Up!

It’s a wrap!

We’d like to thank all of our Washington DC Boot Camp attendees and the thousands of you that joined us virtually through our live streaming sessions – it has been our distinct pleasure to provide you best practices in CEO Operations, Marketing, Sales, Service Delivery and Healthcare IT, deliver informative Expert Panels on Marketing, Cloud Computing and Healthcare IT and introduce you to valuable Sponsor relationships that can help you take your business to the next level.

We started day 3 of our Boot Camp with a presentation from our Gold Sponsor eFolder, focused on how to make on and off-site backups easy, after which we continued the day with the final sessions in our CEO, Marketing, Sales, Service Delivery and Healthcare IT tracks. Our Healthcare IT curriculum was enhanced by an informative HIT Expert Panel Session with panelists Jill Kerr from CompTIA, Ron Pennell from Foothills IT, and Greg Hammerman from gloStream.

Special thanks go out to the industry leaders that delivered valuable presentations and content to our Boot Camp attendees and our Expert Panel participants: Roy vanNorstrand of The Leren Group, Jill Kerr of CompTIA, Anissa Harte from Business By Demand, Kevin Brown from Kutenda, Lee Ellis from Leadership Freedom, Dave Sobel from Evolve Technologies, Vlad Mazek from Own Web Now, Len Dicostanzo from Autotask, Paul Dippell from Service Leadership, Ron Pennell from Foothills IT and Greg Hammerman from gloStream.

And an extra-special thank you to our valued Sponsors, without whom we would not be able to provide you the quality experience you have come to expect from MSP University Boot Camps: Autotask, CompTIA, Cornerstone, eFolder, Kutenda, Level Platforms, Service Leadership, Own Web Now, Synergy and VarVid.

I’d like to invite you and/or your key staff to our next Boot Camp, located in our own backyard – Los Angeles on October 13th-15th, 2010. For more information, visit www.mspu.us/bootcamps. See you in Southern California!

MSPU Washington DC Managed Services Boot Camp Day 2 Recap

The second day of our Washington DC Boot Camp continued today with even more attendees joining us virtually from all over the world!

Remember – we are streaming our Boot Camp tomorrow at: www.mspu.us/livebootcamp between 7am and 4pm EST!

Download the Agenda at: http://www.mspu.us/signup/boot-camps/default.aspx/#agenda

Day 2 Recap:

We started day 2 today with our Platinum Sponsor CompTIA’s Keynote Presentation focused on growing your business better with a CompTIA membership.

Today we continued our CEO, Sales, Marketing and kicked off our Service Delivery and NEW Healthcare IT Tracks. Attendees enjoyed an informative Cloud Computing Expert Panel Session covering how to position and deliver Cloud Services, along with a discussion on the different SLAs associated with each of the three Cloud deliverables: Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). Panel experts included Dave Sobel from Evolve Technologies, Vlad Mazek from Own Web Now, Len DiCostanzo from Autotask and MSP University’s Erick Simpson

Next up, Kevin Brown from Kutenda delivered a valuable online marketing session focused on business growth. In addition to our normal Boot Camp Track Sessions, we were treated to a valuable presentation by Roy vanNorstrand of The Leren Group on how to run an effective sales meeting, along with a presentation from Cornerstone Backup focused on how to make Managed Services sales easier by introducing a backup and disaster recovery solution to your prospects and clients. In addition, an informative session was delivered by Own Web Now on how to increase MSP success in the cloud – Vlad’s voice barely made it through!

Our day ended with a great Cocktail Reception courtesy of CompTIA, followed by their Board Room session.

We kick off our third and final day tomorrow with a presentation from our Gold Sponsor eFolder featuring a discussion on backup on and off-site made easy, followed by our 5 educational tracks, after which we will be treated to our Healthcare IT Expert Panel, including Panelists from Foothills IT, gloStream and CompTIA, all beginning at 8am in the main room.

We finish the day with our always fun and exciting CEO and Sales Professional Sales Competition – so far the CEOs have beaten the Sales Professionals 8 to 1. Can the Sales Professionals pull out a win and take home the iPad? Find out tomorrow starting at 2:50pm in this hilarious showdown to close our Boot Camp on a high note.

So log in to our streaming sessions early and be prepared for our third and final day of training and education, where we continue with sessions in the CEO, Marketing, Sales, Service Delivery and Healthcare IT tracks.
