Why SaaS Must Be a Part of Your Managed Services Offerings

Computer_01-a We all recognize the benefits of the cloud computing model.  But some IT solution providers and MSPs are resistant to fully embracing SaaS as a business offering to their clients.  Indeed it has taken quite some time for businesses to warm up to the idea, but with the advent of SaaS trailblazers like salesforce.com, SaaS is no longer such an unknown, and according to Gartner, is in the transformational phase (2 to 5 years) of mainstream adoption.

If you are considered a leader in your area when it comes to MSP services, SaaS can no longer be ignored.  Chances are that you’ve already been pushed towards implementation because of customer demand.

SaaS is not only around for the long haul, but has some distinct advantages for those MSPs who add it to their suite of offerings.

Strong Revenue Stream

Looking for ways to bolster and expand your business services?  Adding SaaS will allow you to do just that while keeping your own costs to a minimum.  It also goes back to what we have mentioned before in being a ‘full-service’ practice as far as MSP offerings are concerned.  Your image as an expert in the field and advisor will be enhanced, too.

And these savings apply not only to direct costs, but indirect costs as well.

As SaaS becomes considered more ‘mainstream’, and these solutions more requested by clients and integrated into IT environments, it is imperative that MSPs be at the forefront in proposing effective SaaS solutions for their end customers.
