MSP University Chicago Boot Camp Wrap-Up

Well, its a wrap!

We’d like to thank all of our Chicago Boot Camp attendees and the thousands of you that joined us virtually through our live streaming sessions – it has been our distinct pleasure to provide you best practices in CEO Operations, Marketing, Sales and Service Delivery, deliver informative Expert Panels on Marketing, Service Delivery and Healthcare IT and introduce you to valuable Sponsor relationships that can help you take your business to the next level.

We started day 3 of our Boot Camp with a presentation from our Gold Sponsor Cornerstone Backup, focused on how to make Managed Services sales easier by introducing a backup and disaster recovery solution to your prospects and clients, after which our CEO Operations attendees and live viewers were educated on understanding the entire Healthcare IT sales process by Ron Pennell of Foothills IT. We continued the day with the final sessions in our CEO, Marketing, Sales and Service Delivery tracks. Our Healthcare IT curriculum was supported by an informative HIT Expert Panel Session with Healthcare IT experts Bob Biddle from CompTIA, Ron Pennell from Foothills IT, Rich Higgins from MedFusion and Scott Purdy from gloStream.

The big question of the day was “who will take away the grand prize in the CEO and Sales Professional Showdown?”. Well, it was a great, fun competition with the entire attendance hanging on the edge of their seats watching and listening to two compelling, effective sales warm-up presentations from the winners of their respective CEO and Sales tracks. Peter Marsack from Vision Computer Solutions represented the Sales Professionals and Charles Stafford from Matrix Integration represented the CEOs in a head-to-head, no holds barred, leave it all on the field challenge.

When the smoke cleared, the victor was chosen by our Boot Camp attendees, with Charles Stafford nominated as overall champion, bringing the ongoing tally for all Boot Camps to a convincing 8 to 1 overall scorecard for CEOs against Sales Professionals. Peter Marsack earned the title “Best Sales Professional”, winning an Xbox 360 for his excellent effort, and in recognition for earning the “Best CEO” and “Best Overall Sales Warm-Up” titles, Charles takes home an Xbox 360 as well as an Apple iPAD. Congratulations to both of these polished business professionals.

Special thanks go out to the industry leaders that delivered valuable presentations and content to our Boot Camp attendees and our Expert Panel participants: Roy vanNorstrand of The Leren Group Todd Thibodeaux of CompTIA, Anissa Harte from Business By Demand, James Ohmdahl from Kutenda, Lee Ellis from Leadership Freedom, Chris McQueen from Synergy, Barbara Dove from Dove Help Desk, Len Dicostanzo from Autotask, George Harris from OnForce, Bob Biddle from CompTIA, Ron Pennell from Foothills IT, Rich Higgins from MedFusion and Scott Purdy from gloStream.

And an extra-special thank you to our valued Sponsors, without whom we would not be able to provide you the quality experience you have come to expect from MSP University Boot Camps: Autotask, CharTec, CompTIA, Cornerstone, eFolder, Intronis, Kutenda, Level Platforms, OnForce, Own Web Now, Synergy and VarVid.

I’d like to invite you and/or your key staff to our next IT Solutions and Managed Services Sales & Marketing and Service Delivery Boot Camp, co-located in conjunction with CompTIA’s Breakaway on August 9th-12th, 2010 in San Antonio, TX, as this event will be an educational, training and peer and vendor networking experience never before seen in the industry.
